CFF Welcomes Anna Hochgraf as a Faculty Partner!
The Center for Families is pleased to welcome Dr. Anna Hochgraf, Assistant Professor in the Department of Human Development and Family Science, as a new Faculty Partner. Dr. Hochgraf’s research examines how family relationships and environments influence youth psychological and behavioral health, with a focus on using research to inform prevention and promote wellbeing.
Understanding how research can be translated into meaningful support for youth and families is central to Anna’s work. “One of the reasons I am drawn to research about families is that families have the potential to shape youth development of psychological and behavioral health problems in positive and negative ways,” she explains. “Family research can shed light on opportunities to support youth wellbeing.”
For Anna, some of the most meaningful aspects of family research are the opportunities to foster positive development. Her work closely aligns with the Center for Families’ commitment to strengthening the wellbeing of families. “My goal as a researcher is to help youth and families thrive through applied research and prevention programming,” Anna says. She is particularly interested in translating research findings into programs that can make a meaningful difference in the lives of youth and families.
As a Faculty Partner, Anna looks forward to connecting with others who share her passion for family research. “I hope to become part of a community that shares my enthusiasm for expanding the reach of research findings and evidence-based programs that support families.”
