How do women manage pregnancy and work? How do stereotypes influence the way women manage their professional image when they become pregnant? Dr. Laura Little’s 2016 Kanter Award nominated research expands the understanding of experiences pregnant women face by examining motives and strategies they use to manage their professional images at work.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Laura M. Little is an Associate Professor of Management and the Director of the Institute for Leadership Advancement at the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia. She was a finalist for the 2016 Rosabeth Moss Kanter Award for Excellence in Work-Family Research. She received her Ph.D. from Oklahoma State University in 2007. Little researches image management particularly in the work-life arena and emotion regulation of self and other. Her work has been published in several academic journals including Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Organization Science and Personnel Psychology.
